Research Analyst

Responsibilities

• Research, write and edit Boardroom Insiders executive and company profiles

• Collaborate with the rest of our global editorial team and Editor-in-Chief
• Gain mastery of Boardroom Insiders’ BI Signature and BI Pro products, including the administrative end of the application
• Possess the ability to research and complete new profiles and profile updates under customer deadlines
• Demonstrate proficiency in integrating earnings call and other corporate content into executive profiles
• Consistently adhere to BI editorial styles and guidelines
• Respond and adjust to manager’s feedback, incorporating their suggestions into the work product
• Participate in team trainings and meetings, including full-company meetings and events

Qualifications

• Solid experience with online research, writing, editing
• Working knowledge of accessing and navigating social media platforms, as well as general online content sites
• Curious, with a strong interest in reading and learning about companies, business leaders, and industries; strong business acumen
• Problem solver, tenacious researcher, and self-starter
• Extremely focused and detail oriented; able to work "head's down"
• Business journalism or business analysis experience a plus

In the first 60 days, Research Analysts will have...

• Gained proficiency in researching, writing, and editing Boardroom Insiders executive and company profiles. 
• Demonstrated an understanding of the terms of the Editorial glossary, thereby improving the quality level and sophistication of research.  
• Grasped the intricacies of the BI tagging system, which drives the BI Pro priorities dashboard, and applied to executive profiles they have written. 
• Learned how to use Otter.ai transcription software in order to supplement executive profiles with audio and/or video content.

In the first 90 days, Research Analysts will have...

• Shown an improvement in profile creation efficiency, based on individual competency. 
• Improved executive profile quality, necessitating only light review of completed profiles.  
• Gained confidence in their ability to make judgment calls, including but not limited to, deleting old items, including personal information, and more. 
• Suggested new proficiencies to the profile creation process, to better serve Boardroom Insiders’ customers.  
• Contributed new ideas and product improvement suggestions to the Editorial and Product teams. 
• Worked with their mentor and department head to establish long-term goals for career development at Boardroom Insiders.
